We’re a team of outdoor enthusiasts with decades of experience cooking in the outdoors and building brands. We’re bringing our experience together to launch PACAYA and make getting outside easier for all. We are named after an active volcano in Guatemala. It represents our extreme passion for the outdoors and the wild places we want to protect. We provide outfitter inspired meals to elevate your next outdoor adventure.

Meet the Team

  • Chris Arathoon

    CO-FOUNDER

    Born in Guatemala, Chris moved to Bend in 1987 and loves to camp, hike, and spend time with his wife and two daughters on nearby lakes and rivers. Chris brings his 20+ years of restaurant experience and his love of camping and food preparation to the outdoors.

  • Jason Eckhoff

    CO-FOUNDER

    Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Jason and his wife Cynthia moved to Bend in 2007. They enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle with their two daughters including: fly fishing, skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Jason brings 20+ years of hospitality experience and his love of cooking, specifically creating elevated meals in the outdoors.
